Have you already eaten the Nougat on your Galaxy S7 yet? Just kidding.
Anyway, Samsung is now rolling out its Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge to all users.
According to SamMobile, those who participated in the Galaxy Beta program should see the update first, and it should be around 214MB. It will be a lot larger for those who aren’t running a pre-release version of Android 7.0.
The update release comes exactly one week after Samsung started a Nougat “soak test” with a small number of people.
Along with some nice UI improvements, the Nougat update brings many of new features, including multiple performance modes, support for the Vulkan API, Samsung Cloud, and a video encoding enhancer. Users also get improvements for things like multi-window and Quick Settings, with the ability to add toggles for third-party app functions.
Note that this is an Android 7.0 update — not Android 7.1.1. However, it does include Android’s latest security patch for January of the current year.
